Welcome

This is the resource site for all things related to the Google-funded BCTC project titled, "What under-represented minority and female students know [and don't know] about computer science careers."

Focusing on high school students, our study has three objectives:

(1) understand the decision-making processes of these students with respect to CS/CIT careers;

(2) increase recruitment of URM/female high school students into the college courses comprising the CIT and CET AAS degrees, and

(3) retain URM/female students at a higher rate than currently.

Our study will began in Fall 2021 and extends to the end of the Spring 2022 school year. Data analysis and reporting will be finalized during May/June 2022.
